The term “design thinking” is not new. It was used in the 1960s in the context of the work of various designers – from graphic designers, through packaging designers, to corporate brand designers – and their approach to design. However, it was not until the 21st century that design thinking became a structured method of solving problems.
 
Today, design thinking is considered an effective way to create innovative products and services. This process begins with a deep understanding of user needs, then includes situation analysis, precise problem formulation, generating creative solutions, and ends with prototyping and testing these ideas.

Lean Six Sigma is a process improvement method that integrates the principles and tools of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Its main goal is to systematically eliminate waste and errors, leading to significant improvements in the quality, efficiency, and profitability of the company. The Lean Six Sigma concept focuses on the customer, eliminates waste, promotes continuous improvement, and places great emphasis on teamwork.

Kanban is a strategy for optimizing the flow of value through a process, based on a visual pull system. Value can be defined in various ways, taking into account the needs of the customer, the end user, the organization, or the environment. Kanban involves three interrelated practices: defining and visualizing the workflow, actively managing the elements in the workflow, and improving the workflow. These practices, when implemented together, constitute a Kanban system. The people who participate in delivering value in this system are called Kanban members.
